Kara Murphy is a winner.  She came to a struggling University of Akron (NCAA1) program and turned it into a respectable and competitive team.  Kara is 5’10 (178 cm), can play the 2, 3 or 4 position, and is a tremendous scorer (1,777 points).  She is able to battle with bigs down low to pull down rebounds, and can drive to the basket from the perimeter to score.

Kara is in phenomenal shape and never missed a game during her four years at Akron, starting and playing in 123 straight.  In 92 of those 123 games, Kara scored in double figures.  She is ready to take her game to the next level as a professional, following in the footsteps of her father (former NFL player with the Green Bay Packers).  Kara is a team player and will do whatever it takes for her team to be victorious.

“Kara is a strong and versatile wing player.  She has the ability to post up and dominate smaller guards on the block.  She is a good 3-point shooter and does an excellent job of getting to the foul line off the dribble.”

“Kara Murphy has an exceptional knowledge of the game.  She uses her strength and versatility as a face-to-the-basket and back-to-the-basket player to take advantage of mismatches.  Kara is a hard worker who leads her team by example; making scrappy plays and finding a way to extend plays.”
